ADOPT YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND!
The Eastwood Ranch Foundation has partnered with Pets for Patriots to serve United States military veterans and gold star families with the companionship and love a rescue dog or cat. If you are a veteran and interested in adopting a cat or dog at Eastwood Ranch Rescue and Adoption Center in Agoura Hills, then we can help you receive a generous “welcome home” gift card, discounted veterinary care, savings on food, supplices, medication and more! Also, Eastwood Ranch Foundation will give you a discount on our adoption fee of a cat or dog!
Program-Eligible Pets
A pet must meet just ONE of the following criteria:
- Dog or cat at least 2 years of age
- Dog or cat with special needs (birth defect, disability or chronic medical condition, and requiring lifelong care)…Not sure if a pet is special needs? Ask us at partner@petsforpatriots.org
- Dog or cat homeless for 6 months+ (total continuous homelessness at your shelter and/or any shelter from which pet was transferred; time as a ‘stray’ does not count)
- Dog 40+ pounds at time of adoption
Veterans must apply to, and be approved by Pets for Patriots BEFORE pet adoption. Exceptions on prior approval for weekend/federal holiday adoptions.

Apply Online with Pets For Patriots
Start your the process by filling out the application process online application here.. Veterans need to apply with Pets for Patriots before selecting a pet for adoption at Eastwood Ranch.
Provide Documentation
If you prequalify we Pets for Patriots will request documents to confirm your service and, if separated, your honorable discharge.
Come On In!
Once Pets for Patriots approves you, they will ssend you an email confirming your acceptance into their program. Bring that letter into Eastwood Ranch with you to find your eligible forever friend.
Adopt Your New Friend
Once you have found an eligible pet, you will go through the adoption process with Eastwood Ranch and sign an Adoption Agreement. That Agreement will need to be sent to Pets for Patriots and in return, you will receive a $150 gift card, pet savings and more!
Keeping Your Companion Healthy
Keep your new pet healthy with high quality pet medical care from local veterinary partners and VIP Petcare Communicty Clinics nationwide. Pets for Patrtiots will follow up with you for one year to help you create a successful adoption, nurture the person-pet bond and answer questions while providing resources.
Can a Pets for Patriots member adopt more than one pet?
Yes, Pets for Patriots members may have up to two eligible pets at any time. For both pets to receive full benefits, both must fit one of our adoption criteria. Both pets can be adopted simultaneously, as in a bonded pair or similary compatible, or over time.
