GELSON’S VILLAGE HOSTS PET ADOPTION DAY
(Calabasas, CA) Americans have embraced pet ownership for centuries and many people today view their pets as cherished members of the family. Join Gelson’s Village Calabasas and co-host The Forgotten Dog and Eastwood Ranch Foundation on Sunday, March 23 from 11 AM to 2 PM for Pet Adoption Day.
The Forgotten Dog is supported by creative and dedicated volunteers on a mission of rescuing dogs of all shapes, sizes, breeds and ages in the greater Los Angeles area and beyond. They are from the streets, shelters, foreclosures and owner 
relinquished. The Forgotten Dog team nurtures man’s best friend to trust that not all human beings are cruel and unkind, and then are socialized with other dogs to prepare them for their forever families. For more info visit http://www.theforgottendog.org/
Eastwood Ranch Foundation provides support and financial assistance to animal sanctuaries, rescue groups and no-kill shelters responsible for the lifetime or temporary care of animals who need homes. They also offer local Southern California rescue and adoptions. Their goal is to help animal victims of abuse or neglect with a second chance at life through fundraising and education.
Pet Adoption Day will focus on pet adoptions and localized educational outreach. The Gelson’s family realizes that pet overpopulation is a national crisis that affects our communities and our hearts. Gelson’s is proud that their pet events have found homes for more than 200 displaced dogs and cats.
